The Stud
The Haras du Taillis has all the necessary infrastructures to fit the needs of a modern, demanding, but still natural, breeding center. 270 acres of land, divided into 50 paddocks, large boxes, video surveillance, walker....
Holiday appartements are always ready to receive our clients ...
The land is well taken care of and we regularly analyse the ground to preserve the quality of the grass. The horses are often changing fields and cattle are following the horses to clean up the paddocks.
Happy Horses
We are breeding the horses as closeto their natural instincts as possible, but always watching them closely. Only happy horses can transform themself into excellent racehorses. Our results proove our way of breeding. The young horses become strong and perseverant. They have the will to impose themselves. Their food is prepared and mixed every day by us to be sure that all their need are covered. We add naturel additives like vinegar and herbal tea.
History
The stud was bought in 1968 when it still was a cattlefarm. Slowly it was transformed into a very modern and successful breeding station.
The Team
A team with a lifelong experience with thoroughbreds is taking care of the stud.
Studowner: Bernhard
Wenger.
His father, founder of the stud, was the pioneer of breeding thoroughbreds in
Switzerland and since 1998, his son has taken over the leadership of the
stud.
Assistant manager: Yannick LECOROLLER,
has a long experience in breeding and pre-training and is working on the farm
since 2004.
Most of our staff have been working for us for many years and they are living on the farm, which is transforming the stud into a small village.
Holiday apartments
3 apartments are available for a very small price, so our clients can at any time come and watch the daily work and life on the farm, spending time with their horses or just relaxing.
